The Center for Women's Health is now offering acupuncture to our patients. The scientific literature is quite clear about the safety and many documented benefits of acupuncture, and we have been searching for a long time for the right person to provide this service. Dr. Evans and Monique Class, APRN, are proud to announce that Reed Wang M.D, (China) has agreed to provide acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine to our patients.

Dr. Wang's qualifications are exceptional. Influenced by his family tradition (his father and grandfather practice acupuncture) , he first practiced acupuncture more than 30 years ago, Acupuncture - Center for Women's Healtheven before his formal training in western medicine. After becoming a physician, he continued to combine acupuncture and herbal medicine with his western practice. He is now credentialed as a licensed acupuncturist (CT, NY, NJ, and RI) and national board certified herbologist (NCCAOM). In addition to pain management, his area of expertise is women's health. He is experienced in treating perimenopausal syndrome, PMS, and other menstrual disorders, as well as infertility (for men and women), endometriosis, mild depression, chronic fatigue syndrome, and supportive treatment for cancer patients who undergo chemotherapy or radiation.

Appointments with Dr. Wang are quite thorough, and patients feel that every major and minor health concern is addressed. Initial feedback after just a few weeks at the center has been uniformly positive, with almost every single patient feeling benefits right away and booking follow up appointments.

Dr. Wang has decided to close his practice in New York City and relocate to Connecticut in order to work at the Center for Women's Health. In order to maximize patient convenience he has office hours on weekends. We hope you decide to take advantage of this new opportunity that will not only address your symptoms but create balance and harmony along the acupuncture points, or meridians, in your body. This process creates a smooth flow of chi, or life force energy, which for over 5000 years has been regarded as essential in the creation of optimal health and longevity.

In order to be convenient for those with busy schedules, hours are:
Thursday afternoons and evenings
Friday evenings
Saturday days and evenings
Cost is $200 for initial appointment, $145 for follow up.
