Mind/Body Skills Groups


Mind/Body Skills Groups are for anyone interested in enhancing their health and well being by helping participants to minimize the effect of stress on their lives. A variety of skills and techniques are taught in a small group setting, guaranteeing personalized attention. Dr. Evans and Monique Class are both members of the senior faculty of The Center for Mind/Body Medicine in Washington, D.C and have been teaching this model of care for over 10 years. Our groups run in the evenings from 7-9 pm for 8 sessions. For more information on the specifics of our Mind/Body/Spirit groups, which utilize the Center for Mind/Body Medicine model, click here. We frequently have groups running, so be sure to call for the starting date of the next group.

Each group consists of 10 two hour sessions.

Participants will learn:

• Self-awareness
• Biofeedback
• Imagery and Visualization
• Meditation
• Relaxation Breathing
• Self-Hypnosis

• Stress reduction
• Fibroids
• Pain management during labor
