October 19th thru November 9th, 2011

  • Would you like to gain more peace of mind on a daily basis?
  • Do you want to cope better with stress and anxiety?
  • Are you interested in living a happier and more balanced life?

For centuries, meditation has been a core practice in spiritual traditions around the world, to help people uplift their lives and transform their experience of daily living.

Steeped in ancient wisdom, meditation has been shown by modern science to reduce stress, enhance mood and well-being, relax the nervous system, and improve our brain and immune system function. Meditation has helped people naturally lower their blood pressure, balance their blood-sugar levels, and control their compulsive eating.

In this Meditation Group, you will learn and practice different meditation techniques, including concentrative (focused), mindfulness or awareness (open-focus), and expressive (such as movement-oriented) meditations. You will receive guidance in setting up a regular at-home meditation practice and have your questions answered by experienced and skilled meditation teachers.

This group is intended for both beginning and experienced meditators.

Dates: October 19th thru November 9th, 2011, 7:15 – 8:30 p.m.

What it Means to be a Woman on the Spiritual Path: A Women’s Workshop
Dates to be announced

The lack of a clear definition of the role of women in today’s society can create stresses in the lives of women, their partners and their families. Mixed messages about being a nurturer or a breadwinner, a mother or a wife, finishing the endless “to-do” list or taking time out for self care, can lead to anxiety and confusion about who women are and how they should spend their time. For those women on the spiritual path, the desire to behave in a way that facilitates soul growth without neglecting the needs of family or loved ones further adds to the complexity of their lives.

This weekend workshop, for women only, will help participants to understand:
• What it means to be a woman in today’s society.
• The pathway to mature femininity.
• The masculine components of a woman’s personality.
• How the ancient spiritual aspect of a woman fits into the modern roles of today

There will also be readings from Robert Johnson’s book She: Understanding Feminine Psychology. Please bring a copy.

Our Facilitator: Dianna Wilson is a healer, clairvoyant and deep trance Medium. She has been a consultant to several authors of numerology and has taught Mediumship at the Victorian Spiritualist Church in Australia. Dianna is a storyteller and uses mythology to promote personal growth.

Dates: TBA

Location: The Center for Women’s Health

Fee: $175. To reserve, non-refundable payment in full is required as space is quite limited due to the intimate nature of the workshop. Please bring water and plan to eat a vegetarian lunch. Also, please bring a copy of She: Understanding Feminine Psychology by Robert Johnson.

Working with the Chakras: A Weekend Devoted to the Secrets of the Energy Centers
Dates to be announced

There is now common agreement and understanding that the human body, in addition to its physical structure, is made up of energy and has an electromagnetic current. Modern medicine describes blockages in this current (flow) as a contributing force in illness. Ancient healing systems have always described the importance of these energy pathways (acupuncture uses the term meridians) and the energy centers themselves (yogic tradition uses the term chakras). Problems in the flow of energy can both be a cause of, and result from, physical illness. Atma Oils, the latest modality in Chaka medicine, are designed to heal the underlying subtle causes of illness and Chakra imbalance. Their effectiveness is a direct result of the infusion of the vibration from the ancient texts of spiritual healing. Anyone interested in achieving or maintaining optimal health needs to learn about Atma oils as they optimize the function of their chakras.

Participants in this experiential workshop will explore:
• The colors impacting each Chakra.
• How to look at the 7 main Chakras and some of the minor Chakras.
• The healing qualities of each Chakra and how to tell whether they are healthy or sluggish.
• How to heal a sluggish Chakra.
• The emotional and physical effects of each Chakra.
• The gems that will improve Chakra function.
• The use of Atma Oils on the Chakras.

Our facilitators: Dianna Wilson, currently living in Australia, is a healer, clairvoyant and deep trance Medium. She has been a consultant to several authors of numerology and has taught Mediumship at the Victorian Spiritualist Church. Dianna is a storyteller and uses mythology to promote personal growth. Christopher Bonnemort, a past student of Dianna, is also a hands- on- healer, light trance Medium and Bio-Resonance practitioner with an office in Norwalk, CT. Together, they are the creators of Atma Oils, energetic oils designed for chakra balancing and emotional healing.

Dates: TBA

Location: The Center for Women’s Health

Fee: $350. To reserve, non-refundable payment in full is required as space is quite limited. Please bring water and you may eat locally or bring a vegetarian lunch. Wear comfortable, loose clothing and bring a blanket and pillow.
